We are excited to announce that our first vinyl order is in, with delivery expected in early August 2023.

Our inaugural pressing features two of our favorite singers from San Antonio: Brandon Padier and Billy Mata, as well as the songwriting and production of label founder Jordan Stern (aka Professor Honky Tonk).

The “A” side is “Rainin’ in San Antone,” which features a relaxed traditional country groove with a pronounced swing. Brandon Padier’s vocals bring the song to life, and offer a contemporary twist on this traditional country song. Written on a rainy day in San Antonio, this song conveys the feeling of being powerless to control the weather, but also safe and warm at home.

The “B” side is a waltz entitled “The Whims of Wendy,” which features the vocals of three-time AWA Western Swing Vocalist of the Year Billy Mata. This song tells the story of a railroad man whose lover left town without even saying goodbye, a man who would welcome this woman back in his life with open arms in spite of the pain she caused him.
